The Hyderabad 10K Run Foundation is a "Not for Profit" Organization registered under the Indian Trusts Act (An Act of the Indian Parliament). The Hyderabad 10K Run Foundation is registered under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act, 1961. This provides certain exemptions from Income Tax for the donating/sponsoring parties. This exemption under 80G has been granted by the director of Income Tax (Exemption). The Hyderabad 10K Run Foundation is also registered Section 12A of the Income Tax Act, 1961.
The Hyderabad 10K Foundation has been established with an objective of promoting Health, Fitness and Sports. The Foundations uses it funds for these causes- including organizing the 10 Km Running race in Hyderabad.

Apart from organizing the largest run in the country, the Hyderabad 10K Run(10 KM) foundation operates the following events through the year. |
Hyderabad 10k Run(10km):
The Hyderabad 10K Foundation has initiated the 10K run in the year 2003 with the objective of promoting health, fitness & sports in the city of Hyderabad.
Half Marathon(21.1km) & Marathon(42.2km) Run:
In the year 2005, we have also introduced the half marathon alongside 10KM run keeping in mind the needs of serious runners who are looking for avenues to showcase their running skills and keeping fit. In year 2008, we added Full marathon run and been successfully managing these events to the runners delight.
Mission Sports:
With the objective to promote Sports, Fitness and Health in the City and to foster oneness among citizens besides catching the talent at young age, Hyderabad 10K Run foundation has started to involve the schools to participate in the annual Inter school sports & athletic
Meet.
Mission Hyderabad:
The Hyderabad 10k run foundation has been studying the Husain Sagar Lake, its shoreline, Water quality and cleaning practices for the past two years. Hyderabad 10k team has been actively involved in evaluating a good maintenance plan for keeping the shoreline clean. This is an ongoing mission for the foundation.
